This is the removal of the appendix. This can be done as an inpatient or outpatient setting. The surgeon will go into the abdomen with a laparoscopic approach. Sometimes this surgery needs to be done as an open approach, depending on the severity of the situation. You will have a 1-2 week post operative appointment.

Gallbladder Surgery

Removal of the gallbladder is done with small incisions. A small light and camera at the end of a scope is inserted into the abdomen. The gallbladder is surgically removed, along with any stones that might be present. This procedure is done as an outpatient surgery, you can normally go home the same day.

Screenings are used to find cancer early. Screening can prevent colorectal cancer by finding polyps and removing them before they can turn into cancer. If you are 50 and over, you need a screening. Colon cancer is the second leading cause of death in the U.S.
